The authors explanation is a simple, honest one. It took me a long time to get the tears out of my eyes after Priscilla died. But, life goes on. The story didnt end there. We were living out the sequel each day, on the far. There was more to tell and our young readers, teachers and librarians continued to write us. Give us more books like PRISCILLA. And, when are we going to here more of the story? Why hasnt Disney made it into a move? Without these demands, the sequel would never have been written. It was never my intention to write a sequel. This story deals with the problems faced by Little Prissy, Priscillas daughter. It begins about six months after Priscillas death.Prissy, while striving to live with her mothers heroic legacy, wishes desperately to establish some identity of her own, ---other than being known as, Priscillas daughter. Though many of Prissys problems are similar to those her mother experienced, she had a big one all her own. This was different. The little sow had heard a vicious rumor and it was tearing her apart. Mamma and Pappa were planning to sell her! Why? Because she is a constant reminder of Priscilla. And, the story is about T.C. (Tom Cat), our beloved, take charge cat, whose journeys have taken him to the breaches of southern California. One his way further south, to what he calls, fish heaven, he gives chase to a frightened squirrel. While doing so he runs headfirst into the rear tire of a speeding truck. Unconscious, he drifts into a mysterious realm were he encounters two old familiar friends. He is instructed to return to the farm, immediately.Youll meet piston, a trouble-making burro, who turns up at the farrowing barn during a storm causing death and destruction. You will enjoy the granddaughters and their prank that backfires. This tender story will warm your heart with its gentle humor and tears, a tale about life on the farm and love for animals.
